Overround = sum of implied probabilities − 100%, weighted by lines observed. “Arb games” counts distinct game-markets where this book was one side of a cross-book opportunity our engine recorded (edges above 15% are excluded as line mismatches). Last refreshed Sep 9, 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Which sportsbook has the lowest vig?

It changes by sport and market, which is why this page is ranked from live measurements rather than a fixed list. Over the last 30 days the lowest overall margin among the books we scan is shown at the top of the table; reduced-juice books such as LowVig and BetOnline typically sit near the bottom of the vig scale, while recreational books and pick'em-style apps sit near the top.

How is the vig measured?

For every game and market the scanner ingests, we convert each side's odds to an implied probability and sum them. The amount over 100% is the overround; we weight each book's figure by the number of lines observed and average over 30 days. Nothing is estimated from marketing claims — every number traces to lines we recorded.

Why does vig matter for arbitrage?

Two books each holding 4.5% need to disagree by more than roughly 4.5% combined before backing both sides costs less than the payout. Low-vig books make cross-book arbitrage possible; the pairs that generate the most opportunities are usually one soft book against one sharp one.

Is a lower vig always better for me?

For straight bets, yes: a lower margin means a better price on average. For arbitrage the relevant question is which books disagree with each other, and that is a separate table below. Book availability also varies by state.
