Total (over/under)
A market on the combined score of both teams: over the line or under it, each side priced separately.
Totals ignore who wins. A total of 8.5 in baseball pays the over if nine or more runs score and the under if eight or fewer. Half-point lines avoid pushes; whole-number lines can push (stake returned).
Like spreads, totals are priced independently per book, and the same line frequently carries different prices across books for minutes at a time. ArbMonster matches identical total lines across books and shows the ones where over at one book plus under at another costs less than the payout.
