Moneyline

The sportsbook name for the head-to-head market: a bet on which side wins, priced in American odds with no spread.

A moneyline price tells you how much a bet returns relative to the risk. Negative numbers are favorites (−200: risk 200 to win 100), positive numbers are underdogs (+170: risk 100 to win 170). Convert to decimal odds with 1 + 100/|odds| for negatives and 1 + odds/100 for positives.

Moneylines are the most-compared market across books because they map cleanly onto prediction-market contracts: 'Team wins' on Kalshi is the same question as the moneyline at a sportsbook, which is what ArbMonster's sportsbook↔prediction-market engine pairs.
